The Putnam Valley Sheriff's office has documented the success of its telephone reassurance program in the article Putnam Valley Sheriff's Department Telephone Reassurance Success Story.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Department utilized an older RUOK® product that they acquired in the 1990's. In 2007, they replaced this system with a CARE (Call Reassurance) phone system from Database Systems Corp. to provide its senior citizens with a phone reassurance service. Citizens can be called daily free of charge to ensure their well-being.
