CARE Feature Comparison versus Are You OK?®
Database Systems Corp. (DSC) is the developer of the CARE (Call Reassurance) phone system. CARE is a telephone reassurance program designed to contact the elderly or residents who are living alone. These calls are to ensure their well-being.
During the late 80's, Northland Innovation developed an automatic senior calling program running on a DOS PC with a single modem. This was the forerunner to the more modern phone reassurance systems. This program is called "Are You OK?®".
Northland Innovation provided this basic system to many communities during the last century. However, using the older technology created problems for most organizations wishing to use more modern Windows PC technology.
Modern Computer Technology
DSC employs the latest in computer telephony hardware (from Dialogic) and software to provide organizations with a modern telephone reassurance phone system.

CARE System Features
Our CARE (Call Reassurance) systems include the following features. These same features are also available with our CARE outsourcing phone service:
- The CARE computer system is an industrial quality Intel PC
- CARE phone systems include INTEL telephony components
- CARE computer plays a recorded greeting message
- CARE does NOT need volunteers to make phone calls
- CARE recipients use IVR phone keys to respond
- CARE subscribers optionally simply answer the call
- CARE greetings can be pre-recorded messages
- CARE greetings can be text converted to speech
- CARE calls can custom scheduled at designated times
- CARE system can detect answering machines
- Calls can be repeated multiple times before an alert
- Response center or private individuals can be alerted when there's no answer
- CARE systems can perform emergency dialing services for the community
- CARE systems can be used to perform emergency notification calling
- Systems support 1-48 analog phone lines
- Systems can be upgraded to our digital (PACER) phone system
- Response center can be notified by call, email, or other electronic methods
- Online call reports available giving status of each call
